We had a lot of snow in Duncan. The dogs loved playing in it, Jack was indifferent, and Riley was not impressed

Christmas in Duncan

Last year I bought some Christmas decorations and we acquired a hammy-down Christmas tree. I'd like to eventually get more nutcrackers and have the mantle full of them. I wanted to put a few lights up outside, but someone (Brice) didn't want to. He doesn't even want to put the tree up next year.

Humane Society

I have been doing a lot of work with humane society that started with a community service team at work, but I have also been helping out on weekends on my own time. (what else is there to do in Duncan anyway?) Thursday the president of the local board called me an asked me to serve on the board and help with their fundraisers. I went up to the shelter for a little while this morning...they have so many puppies right now...they have 5 cocker pups that are 6 weeks old and so adorable. Only 10 more days

Brice and I only have ten more days of work left for the rest of the year. I can't wait to have two weeks off. We went to Amarillo for the week of Thanksgiving. Nothing exciting has happend since we got back to Duncan. We had our new washer and dryer delivered Thursday.

Trip Cancelled

Well, I was supposed to be in Missouri this week with mom and dad, but my vacation got cancelled last week. We had project reviews with the Vp's last week and my manager promised them that I would have the first microbiology training course done this week.....well it's done now....I find it pretty funny that someone that has been there 18 months is training people that have been there 30 years. It looks like after the first of the year I will be going to Vermont the beginning of January to do some collaborative tests with a vendor and then I'll be making a trips to Houston to talk with customers, and going to different area field labs to train people. I don't know when I am supposed to get my "actual work" done, since currently I am the only person working on three projects.

Today seemed like it went on forever, I started looking at the clock early today anticipating my vacation next week. Monday morning Brice and I will head to Amarillo. The "catties" are going to be boarded for the first time since Jack doesn't travel well. It will be nice to get away from Duncan for a while.
