Offical News

It's offical now...Brice and I have accepted jobs and will be moving to Albuquerque, NM in the next few weeks. We put in our notices today...they told me to go home, so get my two weeks notice paid plus all my vacation, but Brice has to still work. I was suprised that they sent me home, because I told them that I wasn't going to a competitor, so I figured they would make me stay. Me and the dogs may get used to staying at home all day :-) So this means that I will not be going to Singapore on Friday either. As much as I would have liked to go, we have things that need to be taken care of in order to get moved.

Update

Currently I am scheduled to leave for Singapore June 25th and return July 2nd. I am dreading the long flight, I am literally flying around the entire world. There were a limited number of flights that fell with in the restrictions that Halliburton places on tickets. So I fly from Houston to Moscow (stop and refuel no plane change) then on to Singapre. On the way home I fly from Singapore to Tokyo, then on to LA. I'm flying Singapore Air which has been highly recommended by some of my co-workers who travel a lot.

I haven't posted pictures ina while, because my camera is not working...I guess I will probably be buying myself a new before I leave to Singapore.

Was supposed to start some pretty heavy travel in the US in June, but we have had a few set backs at our manufacturing facility so now it is looking like the heavy traveling will not start until July. Which means I will at least get to enjoy the first part of the summer, rather than none of it. The traveling will probably last at least 2 months, where I will be gone during the entire week and home only on the weekends and one week during the month.

Addicted

Rusty is addicted! We bought some "speaker toys" from tractor supply company a few weeks ago and there is hardly a moment that Rusty doesn't have one in his mouth. He will wake up in the middle of the night and look for them. These are the most annoying toys ever made....two make chirping sounds, one crows like a roast, and one sings an annoying song. Rusty g

Update from Duncan

As usual not much has been happening in Duncan. I had an exciting weekend. I spent Saturday morning at the Humane Society cleaning. Then I spent part of the afternoon trimming the bushes out front and planted flowers in the front bed.
I should have been in Brazil right now, but my trip was cancelled. We'll see if they let me go to Singapore in July....I'm not holding my breath. My taveling will start back up soon. I will have 20 guys from across the US come for me to train before April is up, I still find it funny that I am considered "the expert" on all this stuff when I have only been there 2 years. Then I will making a few trips to Houston, Tulsa, and OKC to start. Then I will be heading out to Pennsylvannia and West Virginia to ensure that the field camps are trained on the equipment and lab testing that we are sending to the field and I'll meet with a few customers. Then I will be off to Colorado again for a week or so doing the samething. I'll Also be hitting up a few places in Texas...Alvarado, Kilgore, and Alice. Needless to say the current commercialization plan is going to keep me very busy for the next few months. Hopefully I will have dates soon for when I am supposed to fit all this in.
Crazy cat face.....Riley was yawning, but it looks like an evil laugh

Front Flower bed....I can't remember what the green stuff is...I planted the bulbs last year and they didn't even get half as big as they are now. I have impatients then in the back caladium bulbs should come up anytime and a few elephant ears in the very back that will be sprouting soon
My pansies...they survived our aweful icestrom. Soon caldiums will be coming up here too. I had really good luck with caladiums last year, so I planted more this year

Our lives are not that exciting

It's been a while since I've posted. I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately. All the family including Grandma and Grandpa Wilt made it to Amarillo for Easter, I left my camera in Duncan, so I don't have any pictures from the weekend. March 30th I went down to Fort Worth for work, I spent Sunday afternoon with Jaime and Bailey then headed to downtown FW. I was at a workshop on unconventional gas giving a presentation with a customer.

The weather has been really nice in Duncan. In a another week or so I will buy some impatents for the the front flower bed. My caladiums and star gazer lillies are starting to come up.

Even though my trip to Brazil next week was canceled a while back there is a possiblity I might get to go to Singapore at the end of June. We'll see if the trip gets approved, but one of my managers really wants me to go present my paper at this conference.

Wrestle Mania 2010

As usual not much exciting has been happening in Duncan America. We have had a few days of nicer weather, but it has been really windy. I am ready for it to warm up. Brice is getting some grass seed to throw in the backyard, so the dogs won't get muddy paws everytime they go outside. My caladiums looked really good last year, so I am planning on planting more of those in the next few weeks. Other than that it's just been the same old routine of dragging ourselves out of bed to work day after day. Brice built a new computer this week. And I got my new microscope at work.

Bailey and Rusty are officially best buds! They love to play chase and wrestle. Below is a clip of a portion of Wrestle Mania from the other night. Rusty is a cheater, but they have a blast.

Duncan Update

Not much has been happening in Duncan lately, we had another brief power outage Feb. 10th. It only lasted a little more than 3 hours. The power went out around 10:00am and everyone was sitting around waiting for them to send us home....but no luck.

I've been busy on Saturdays trying to help with computer stuff at the Humane Society. They hired someone that is supposed to stay up on all that stuff, but I still haven't seen them update the adoptable pets online yet. I hope they can get things figured out soon, because I don't want to have to spend every Saturday up at the shelter....I like sleeping in.

I've been at home sick the past two days. I strep throat, but I don't have tonsils. I haven't really had may sore throats since I got my tonsils out in 2004, but my throat hurts and is super red. Now that I've had antibiotics, I'll have to go back to the real world and got to work tomorrow.
